Guerrero approves educational infrastructure reforms and student evaluations

The Guerrero State Congress has approved reforms to Law Number 727, which regulates physical educational infrastructure in the state. The new measures aim to modernize schools by incorporating criteria for technological connectivity, sustainability, accessibility, and resilience. The reforms seek to address technological and structural gaps by progressively introducing broadband internet, digital classrooms, ergonomic furniture, renewable energy systems, and rainwater harvesting across basic, upper secondary, and higher education institutions.

In a separate educational initiative, the Guerrero Ministry of Education (SEG) has begun distributing diagnostic evaluation materials, known as Integrated Learning Exercises (EIA), to 271 basic education schools across the state's eight regions. This program is expected to benefit over 40,000 students in preschool, primary, and secondary education. The materials are designed to help teachers identify specific learning needs and adjust pedagogical strategies in alignment with the New Mexican School (NEM) principles.
