Acapulco maintains tourism operations and provides fishing sector support

Acapulco remains fully operational for tourism following recent rainfall. Mexican Tourism Secretary Josefina Rodríguez Zamora and Guerrero Tourism Secretary Simón Quiñones Orozco confirmed that although some localized flooding occurred, authorities addressed the issues promptly. The port continues to offer its standard range of services, including beaches, gastronomy, and recreational activities, with hotel occupancy and visitor arrivals maintaining a positive dynamic.

In addition to tourism updates, Acapulco Mayor Leticia Lozano Zavala announced 11.5 million pesos in support for the local fishing and aquaculture sectors. This includes 9.5 million pesos for fishing gear through the 'Programa de Dotación de Artes de Pesca' and 2 million pesos for rock oyster production to support over 300 cooperatives and stabilize local household incomes.
