Guerrero and regional Mexican states report legislative, infrastructure, and social developments

Various administrative and social developments are reported across Mexican states. In Guerrero, Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda received recognition from the State System for Evaluation (SEEGRO) for legislative quality, having passed 24 of 32 presented initiatives, including the Ley Camila to protect minors.

The Guerrero government is also strengthening protocols for internal displacement with technical assistance from UNHCR and has initiated road rehabilitation in rural Acapulco. Meanwhile, the state's Cyber Police reported assisting over 3,400 citizens and recovering 455 digital accounts during the first half of 2026 to combat extortion.

In other regions, Veracruz is reviewing 260 notary offices to address property dispossession cases, noting that 92% of such disputes arise from private conflicts.

In Morelos, Governor Margarita González Saravia highlighted infrastructure progress, reporting 56 road works and 283.4 kilometers rehabilitated. In Guerrero, SNTE Section 14 teachers protested against the Secretary of Education (SEG) regarding lack of transparency in job relocation processes.
