Guerrero State Congress issues various regional development exhortations

The Guerrero State Congress has issued several exhortations to improve regional infrastructure, economy, and public safety. Legislators have called on municipal authorities to update urban nomenclature, official numbering, and street signage to ensure emergency services can locate addresses more efficiently and to facilitate administrative and banking procedures.

To support local producers, the Congress urged the Chilpancingo City Council and the Welfare Programs Delegation to create a collaboration agreement allowing 'Sembrando Vida' beneficiaries to sell products in local markets. Additionally, a proposal was made to the State Tourism Secretariat to design an official map and route for silver workshops in Taxco, aiming to connect tourists directly with family artisans in various neighborhoods.

Regarding infrastructure, deputies requested that the State Secretariat of Planning and Regional Development allocate funds in the 2027 budget for roadworks in the Northern Zone to improve connectivity. Meanwhile, in Acapulco, the State Highway and Airport Infrastructure Commission (CICAEG) is performing dredging operations in a canal in Puerto Marqués to mitigate flood risks caused by Hurricane Trudy.
