The state of Guerrero concluded its summer vacation season with high tourism numbers and significant hotel occupancy. According to State Tourism Secretary Simón Quiñones Orozco, the state recorded an average hotel occupancy rate of 70.9 percent. Specific destinations showed varying levels of demand: La Unión reached 86.8 percent, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo recorded 79.6 percent, and Acapulco reached 69.9 percent.

In Acapulco specifically, municipal reports indicate that the city welcomed 991,421 tourists during the season. This resulted in an average hotel occupancy of 66 percent, representing an 11.7 percent growth in occupancy compared to previous periods. The influx of visitors generated an economic impact of approximately eight billion pesos, a 14 percent increase. Local authorities plan to continue promoting the destination through tourism caravans, improved air connectivity, and efforts to increase cruise ship arrivals.
