Gugi Commerce operates banned floating platform in Opatov

The company Gugi Commerce continues to operate a 250-square-meter floating bathing platform in Opatov, Tivat Bay, despite a formal ban issued by the Kotor Port Authority maritime safety inspection. The platform, installed in front of the Ollie’s hotel, lacks valid technical inspection certificates and required documentation from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

In addition to the lack of safety certification, the installation has faced regulatory hurdles regarding its location. The site sits within the UNESCO-protected natural and cultural-historical buffer zone of Kotor. While the company previously ignored orders to remove concrete anchor blocks installed without permission, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs has announced that inspectors will return to the site to enforce further measures and ensure legal compliance.
