GUHEM Aviation and Space High School opens in Turkey

GUHEM Aviation and Space Technologies Science High School has officially commenced its 2026-2027 academic year with its first cohort of students. The school, which is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and led by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), will host 48 of the highest-achieving students from the national LGS exams.

BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay emphasized that the school is a strategic investment in human capital, aiming to produce future entrepreneurs and scientists. The curriculum is designed to be internationally oriented, featuring collaborations with space centers in Beijing, China, and Toulouse, France. Students will participate in joint projects with peers from countries including the UK and the USA.

To support this global focus, the school plans to introduce Chinese language training alongside English starting next year. Students will also benefit from a High Technology Campus, which includes access to specialized training from experts at BUTGEM, MESYEB, BUTEKOM, and the Bursa Model Factory. All students receive 100% scholarships, with boarding provisions planned for those traveling from outside the city.
