Guido Carrillo extends contract with Estudiantes until 2028

Guido Carrillo, the captain of Estudiantes de La Plata, has extended his contract with the club until December 31, 2028. The striker, who originally rose through the club's youth divisions, had a contract set to expire at the end of this year but has secured an additional two seasons.

Carrillo has become a central figure for the institution, having won five titles since his return to the club in early 2023, including the Copa Argentina 2023 and the Torneo Clausura 2025. He also holds the record as Estudiantes' all-time leading scorer in the Copa Libertadores with 14 goals, surpassing previous records held by Juan Ramón Verón and Mauro Boselli. He currently holds 79 official goals for the club, placing him among the top 15 scorers in its history.
