Guido Crosetto rejects neutrality in Ukraine-Russia conflict

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto has criticized the idea of maintaining neutrality between Ukraine and Russia, stating that it is impossible to be equidistant between “good and evil.” Speaking at an event in Florence, Crosetto emphasized that Italy’s support for the invaded nation aligns with the country’s constitutional values and the principles of international law.

Crosetto also highlighted significant vulnerabilities in European air defense, specifically regarding the threat posed by drone technology. He noted that while large-scale damage once required a state actor, terrorist organizations can now cause devastating effects using relatively small numbers of drones. He called for increased investment in new technologies and cyber defense to address these emerging security threats.
