Guido Pagliuca departs Empoli after six matches

Guido Pagliuca has departed from his role as manager of Empoli following a brief tenure. The separation comes after six official matches across Serie B and Coppa Italia, during which the team recorded two victories and four defeats.

Pagliuca expressed his gratitude to the squad and the fans, specifically mentioning the Maratona supporters, via social media. He described the players as strong individuals of great value. This marks a recurring pattern for the manager, as he was also dismissed by Empoli a year prior after seven matches.

Following his departure from Empoli, Pagliuca is expected to join Carrarese in Serie B. Carrarese recently dismissed Gabriele Cioffi after a difficult start to the season that resulted in only one point from five matches.
