Guidonia Montecelio: Man found dead in industrial cold storage

The body of a 60-year-old Chinese man was discovered on the morning of September 14, 2026, inside an industrial cold storage unit at the Trading Hu S. r. l. food wholesale warehouse in Guidonia Montecelio, Italy.

The victim, who reportedly lived at the company premises and worked as a guard, was found around 9:30 a.m. Carabinieri from Tivoli and Frascati, along with medical examiners and workplace safety inspectors from Asl Roma 5, attended the scene.

Initial medico-legal inspections indicated no signs of violent death. Authorities are currently investigating whether the cause was a sudden medical episode, potentially triggered by thermal shock. The Public Prosecutor of Tivoli has ordered an autopsy and is reviewing the facility's surveillance footage to clarify the circumstances.
