Guidonia Montecelio wins league opener and signs Franco Ferrari

Guidonia Montecelio has secured a significant addition to its squad with the signing of Argentine striker Franco Ferrari. Ferrari, nicknamed ‘El Loco’, joins from Salernitana on a multi-year contract. The 1995-born forward brings extensive experience to the Serie C side, having recorded over 250 appearances and more than 100 goals across various tiers of Italian football, including stints with Como, Brescia, and Vicenza.

On the pitch, Guidonia opened its league campaign with a 3-0 victory over Gubbio. Spavone opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a long-range strike, and Giannotti doubled the lead in the 50th minute following a cross from Santoro. The win marks a strong start for the club following their recent Coppa Italia involvement.
