Águilas Cibaeñas defeat Tigres del Licey 9-4

The Águilas Cibaeñas defeated the Tigres del Licey 9-4 at the Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal. Despite a strong performance from Licey pitcher Albert Abreu, who pitched five scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and only one hit allowed, the team could not maintain the lead.

Gustavo Núñez had a perfect night for Licey, going 5-for-5 with a triple, two runs scored, and one RBI. However, the Águilas capitalized on six errors by the Licey defense and a decisive bases-loaded triple by Jorge Bonifacio to secure their second victory in seven games. Raúl Brito earned the win for the Águilas, while Jordi Martínez took the loss for Licey.
