Águilas Cibaeñas LIDOM Dominican Winter League J. C. Escarra Raynel Delgado

The Águilas Cibaeñas have announced the signing of left-handed hitters J. C. Escarra and Raynel Delgado to bolster their roster for the 2026-2027 Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) season.

J. C. Escarra, a 31-year-old catcher and first baseman, returns to the team for his third stint. A former LIDOM batting champion in 2024 with a .363 average, Escarra has spent the 2026 season between the New York Yankees and their Triple-A affiliate, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Raynel Delgado, a 26-year-old Cuban infielder, also returns for his second consecutive season with the club. Delgado offers defensive versatility across third base, second base, and shortstop. He recently moved from the Tampa Bay Rays organization to the Houston Astros organization, appearing in 19 Major League games with Houston this year.
