Guildford Town Centre hosts month-long pop-up book corner
A month-long pop-up attraction called ‘The Book Corner’ is opening at Guildford Town Centre in Surrey, starting August 20. The installation features approximately 1,000 titles available for reading and purchase.
Located in the mall’s Centre Court North area on the lower level, the space includes tables and chairs to serve as a reading destination. All proceeds from the event will benefit literacy initiatives through Surrey Libraries and the Surrey Youth Grants program, managed by the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society.
Mall marketing manager Kiran Deol noted that the pop-up aims to address the lack of a permanent book-specific retailer at the shopping centre. The event runs daily until September 20 during regular mall hours. Sales are card-only, and a promotional reward is available for customers who purchase five books.
