Guildford Town Centre launches Book Corner pop‑up in Surrey

Guildford Town Centre in Surrey, British Columbia, will host a month‑long pop‑up called The Book Corner beginning on August 20. The temporary store will feature around 1,000 titles spanning children’s books, young adult, adult fiction and best‑selling genres such as romance, fantasy and thriller.

All proceeds from book sales and merchandise will be donated to the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society, which will channel the funds to literacy initiatives through Surrey Libraries and the Surrey Youth Grants program. Senior manager Dylan Van Rooyen said the partnership “will directly benefit our Surrey Youth Grants program and our ongoing partnership with Surrey Libraries.”

Shoppers can take part in a library‑card promotion: collecting five purchase stamps earns a $10 Guildford Town Centre reward card. The pop‑up is designed with dark‑green and gold accents, brick‑style walls, greenery and cozy seating to create a story‑book atmosphere.
