Guilherme Peixoto named among top 100 DJs worldwide

Portuguese priest Guilherme Peixoto, known internationally as Padre Guilherme, has been ranked 79th in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list. The ranking, determined by public vote, was presented in Ibiza.

A priest of the Diocese of Braga, the 52-year-old combines his religious ministry with an international career in melodic techno. His musical style often incorporates religious elements, such as papal speeches and prayers, to convey messages of spirituality and unity.

Peixoto gained significant international attention during the 2023 World Youth Day in Lisbon, where he performed for a massive crowd prior to the closing mass. His background includes serving as a military chaplain in Afghanistan and Kosovo. His transition into electronic music grew during the pandemic and through his work organizing events for soldiers.
