Guillaume Canet releases ‘Nous finirons ensemble’ sequel

Guillaume Canet has released ‘Nous finirons ensemble’, a dramatic comedy serving as a follow-up to his 2010 film ‘Les Petits Mouchoirs’. The story centers on Max, played by François Cluzet, who is facing financial difficulties and intends to sell his luxury villa in Cap-Ferret. However, his friends arrive unexpectedly to celebrate his birthday, complicating his plans for solitude.

The film features a returning cast including Marion Cotillard, Gilles Lellouche, and Laurent Lafitte. While the setting—a prestigious estate located near the Arcachon Basin—has gained significant fame and high rental demand due to its cinematic appearance, critical reception of the sequel has been mixed, with some reviews describing it as a series of uninspired sketches.
