Guillaume Canet releases psychological thriller Karma

Director Guillaume Canet is releasing his new psychological thriller, Karma, in French cinemas on October 21, 2026. The film, which was presented out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026, stars Marion Cotillard and Denis Ménochet.

Set in a village in northern Spain, the plot follows Jeanne as she attempts to build a new life with Daniel, who remains unaware of her troubled past. The narrative centers on a disturbing disappearance and long-buried secrets, marking a return to the suspense genre for Canet, reminiscent of his 2006 film ‘Ne le dis à personne’.
