Guillermo del Toro identifies Lovecraft stories for potential adaptation

Director Guillermo del Toro has identified three H. P. Lovecraft stories he is interested in adapting: ‘The Thing on the Threshold’, ‘The Shadow over Innsmouth’, and ‘The Outsider’.

Del Toro indicated that he views most Lovecraftian works as better suited for short-form television treatments, such as 30- or 60-minute episodes, rather than feature films. He noted that ‘At the Mountains of Madness’ is the exception, as its scale is naturally suited for a feature-length production. While these titles have been named, no official productions have been announced.
