Guillermo del Toro declares daily Angry Birds habit
In an IGN interview conducted at the 2026 San Diego Comic‑Con, filmmaker Guillermo del Toro said he plays the mobile game Angry Birds every day, describing himself as “very good” at it. He highlighted a range of other titles that have influenced him, including Journey, Left 4 Dead, Death Stranding, Shadow of the Colossus, BioShock and Dead Cells. Del Toro joked that developers should add checkpoint saves for older players and asked for a version of Dead Cells without respawning.
The comments were republished in several language outlets, with Spanish and Croatian versions noting his request for more accessible difficulty settings, and a Japanese piece emphasizing his daily habit. The interview also recalled his past collaborations with Hideo Kojima on a cancelled Silent Hill teaser and his earlier remarks that he may not work on future games.
