Guillermo Lorca exhibition sets attendance record in Barcelona

Chilean painter Guillermo Lorca is seeing record attendance for his exhibition, ‘La casa de arena’, at the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern (MEAM) in Barcelona. The show, hosted in the historic Palau Gomis, features works spanning approximately fifteen years of his career and may see an extension due to high visitor numbers.

Lorca’s work often incorporates mythology and fantastic creatures. His international recognition includes a 2022 exhibition at the Moco Museum, where his large-format paintings were displayed alongside artists such as Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
