Guillermo Mariotto refuses to apologize to Noemi Bocchi

Guillermo Mariotto, a judge on the television program Ballando con le Stelle, has refused to apologize to contestant Noemi Bocchi following a controversial remark made during a live broadcast. The tension began when Mariotto made an unfinished comment regarding Bocchi and Francesco Totti during a Charleston performance, which prompted dancer Giovanni Pernice to intervene and accuse the judge of focusing on the contestant's private life rather than her choreography.

In subsequent interviews, Bocchi expressed that she felt offended by the remarks, noting that while she welcomes professional criticism, she found the comments to be inappropriate and unrelated to her performance. Mariotto, however, declined to offer an apology. During an appearance on La Volta Buona, he defended his stance, stating, “Non chiedo scusa.”

Mariotto attempted to clarify that his comments were intended to address Bocchi's acrobatic abilities, suggesting she relies on such moves to reach the finals. He further remarked that Bocchi is like a moon, a natural satellite that does not live by its own light but by reflected light. The dispute has drawn significant attention due to the heated exchange between the judge and the contestants.
