Guillermo Plate leads regional insurance supervision and industry forums

Guillermo Plate, President of the Association of Insurance Supervisors of Latin America (ASSAL) and Superintendent of the National Insurance Superintendency, recently participated in key regional insurance industry events.

In Asunción, Paraguay, Plate inaugurated the ASSAL–IAIS Regional Training Seminar for Insurance Supervisors. Organized by ASSAL, IAIS, and the Superintendency of Insurance of Paraguay, the seminar focused on strengthening supervisory capacities and addressing industry challenges such as technological transformation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and risk management.

Additionally, the NEA 2026 National Insurance Forum is scheduled for October 8, 2026, in Resistencia, Chaco. Organized by the regional APAS associations, the forum aims to discuss the insurance sector as an economic driver. Confirmed speakers include Plate, Agustina Decarre of FAPASA, and financial analyst Claudio Zuchovicki.
