Guillermo Rodriguez defended by Jimmy Kimmel amid social media scrutiny

Guillermo Rodriguez, a contestant on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and sidekick on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, has faced online criticism and accusations of a rigged competition following his continued presence in the show despite low scores. Jimmy Kimmel defended Rodriguez during a monologue, describing his progress as a ‘Cinderella story’ and dismissing online trolls.

Amid the scrutiny, fellow contestant Jackson Olson issued a public apology for a social media comment that was perceived as disrespectful toward Rodriguez. Olson, a Savannah Bananas infielder, clarified that there is no bad blood between the two, stating, ‘We’re friends. We’re competing against each other, but we’re friends.’
