Guindy Raj Bhavan wall struck by car, injuring five

A car crashed into the perimeter wall of the Raj Bhavan (Governor's residence) in Guindy, Chennai, resulting in injuries to five people. The occupants of the vehicle included a final-year B.Tech student from Kallur College and four friends.

The accident occurred around 12:45 AM when the driver, identified as Bal Akash, reportedly lost control of the vehicle while traveling toward the ECR coastal area. The car struck roadside barriers before colliding heavily with the Governor's residence wall, causing significant damage to both the vehicle's front section and the perimeter structure.

Three individuals, including Bal Akash and his friends Kaushik and John, sustained injuries and were transported to the Saidapet Government Hospital via ambulance. Two others also suffered minor injuries. Local police have launched an investigation to determine if the crash was caused by excessive speed or another factor.
