Guinea and DRC welcome new groups of foreign ambassadors

In separate diplomatic ceremonies, Guinea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) have officially welcomed new groups of ambassadors.

In Conakry, President Mamadi Doumbouya received credentials from ten new diplomats representing the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Gabon, Côte d’Ivoire, Lebanon, Greece, Slovakia, Republic of the Congo, Panama, and Denmark. Foreign Minister Morissanda Kouyaté stated that these accreditations reflect growing international confidence in Guinea and a shared desire to strengthen bilateral ties.

In Kinshasa, President Félix Tshisekedi received letters of credence from six representatives from the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Germany, South Africa, Spain, and the European Union. These missions are expected to address diverse priorities, including trade, investment, and security, particularly regarding the ongoing situation in eastern DRC.
