Guinea announces large-scale civil service recruitment for 2026-2027

The Guinean government has announced an extensive recruitment program for the civil service spanning 2026 and 2027. The Ministry of Modernization of Administration and Public Service released a schedule to fill over 15,000 positions across several strategic sectors, including education, health, justice, and sanitation.

Key recruitment phases include:

• Education: 6,000 teachers in the first phase (September–November 2026) and an additional 3,000 in a second phase (June–July 2027). The plan also includes 500 PhD-level researchers.

• Health: 4,500 health agents in the first phase (October–December 2026) and 2,500 more in a second phase scheduled for late 2027. Additionally, 697 medical specialists will be recruited.

• Justice: 200 clerks and 100 magistrates are slated for recruitment between April and June 2027.

• Other sectors: 2,000 contract workers will be hired for sanitation, hydraulics, and hydrocarbons between late 2026 and early 2027. The program also includes professional examinations for existing civil servants to facilitate career advancement.
