Guinea announces mass recruitment for teachers, doctors, and professors

The Guinean government has launched a series of large-scale recruitment drives for 2026 aimed at strengthening the nation's education and healthcare sectors.

Through the Ministry of Modernization of Administration and Civil Service, the government is seeking to fill 1,197 positions. This includes 500 research professors with PhDs for higher education and scientific research institutions, a role open to both Guinean and foreign nationals. Additionally, 697 specialist doctors will be recruited for the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, a category reserved for Guinean nationals.

Separately, the Ministry of National Education and Technical Education is conducting a recruitment process for 6,000 teachers. This initiative follows a protocol signed with education unions and targets contract teachers and graduates from approved training schools, such as the École Normale d’Instituteurs (ENI) and the Institut Supérieur des Sciences de l’Éducation de Guinée (ISSEG). Applications for the teaching positions are to be submitted online through the official government portal.
