Guinea engages in security sector dialogue and infrastructure summit

In Guinea, the Confédération générale des entreprises de Guinée (CGE-GUI) participated in a tripartite monitoring committee meeting at the Ministry of Security and Civil Protection. The meeting focused on implementing a Memorandum of Understanding signed on March 25, 2026, regarding the private security sector. CGE-GUI Secretary General Maria Diané emphasized that dialogue between the state and the private sector must be accompanied by respect for the commitments, rules, and responsibilities of all parties.

Separately, Guinea attended the 5th edition of the Salon des Infrastructures d’Abidjan (SIA 2026) in Côte d'Ivoire as the guest of honor. Led by the Minister of Infrastructure and Public Works, the Guinean delegation participated in the event, which focused on digitalization, circular economy, and sustainable resource management in the construction and public works sector. The participation aims to strengthen sub-regional cooperation and seek partnerships in energy, urban development, and housing.
