Guinea launches review of special status law for health personnel
The Guinean Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene has launched a three-day workshop in Kindia to review a draft law regarding the special status of health personnel and university hospital staff. The review includes eleven implementing texts designed to establish a more robust legal framework for the sector.
The initiative aims to secure the rights of healthcare workers and enhance human capital within the national health system. Participants in the workshop include ministerial representatives, trade unions, professional orders, civil society, and technical partners such as Expertise France. Officials stated the goal is to produce a text that is legally sound, technically coherent, socially just, and financially sustainable.
