Guinea Ministry of Justice warns of fake Facebook accounts impersonating Minister

The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in Guinea has issued a warning regarding several fraudulent Facebook accounts and pages impersonating the Keeper of the Seals, Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Ibrahima Sory II Tounkara.

These fake accounts have been contacting internet users to send requests and solicitations that do not align with the minister’s official functions or principles. The Ministry clarified that Ibrahima Sory II Tounkara does not possess any personal Facebook account and that all official information is disseminated exclusively through the department’s official communication channels.

The Ministry condemned these actions as undignified and harmful to the minister’s reputation. It has announced that legal proceedings will be initiated against unknown individuals to identify and prosecute those involved in creating and using these accounts.
