Guinea U-23 squad narrowed to 25 players for CAN qualifiers

Guinea’s U-23 national team, Syli Espoir, has narrowed its squad to 25 players following a month-long training camp. Coach Morlaye Cissé finalized the selection after reviewing an initial group of 42 players at the Chérif Souleymane Technical Centre in Nongo.

The team concluded its first training cycle with a 5-0 victory against a school national team. The selected group will now focus on preparations for the second round of the TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Guinea is scheduled to face Botswana in a two-legged tie. The first leg will take place in Botswana between November 9 and 11, 2026, followed by the return leg in Conakry between November 15 and 17, 2026.
