Guinean communities hold prayers for national peace and President Doumbouya
Guinean communities in both Guinea and the diaspora have held religious ceremonies to pray for national peace and support for President Mamadi Doumbouya.
In Lorombo, Kouroussa, local populations and imams gathered for a Quranic reading to seek divine blessings for the President's health and longevity, as well as for the stability of the country. During the event, the Association of Natives and Friends for the Development of Lorombo (ARADEL) advocated for the locality to be elevated to sub-prefecture status, noting that the community has self-funded various infrastructures, including administrative and security buildings, to prepare for state support.
In Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, the Generation for Modernity and Development (GMD) for Guineans living abroad organized a similar ceremony at the Treichville Grand Mosque. The event, sponsored by Kankan deputy Aly Badara Condé, focused on national cohesion and the role of the diaspora in serving Guinea. Participants offered prayers for the success of the President's mission and for continued social harmony within the nation.
