Guinean singers Maciré Sylla and Tira‑Tira celebrate music legacy and new album

Maciré Sylla, born in 1970 in Conakry, is a leading figure of Guinean music. Over a career that began with the Ballet Soleil d’Afrique and later the Dutch group Fatala, she has toured Europe, Africa and the Americas, releasing solo albums such as *Mariama* (1997) which sold more than 200,000 copies and earned her the title of best Guinean singer in 1998. Her work blends traditional Guinean rhythms, soussou language, funk, afropop and world‑music influences, and she continues to promote Guinean culture internationally.

Guinean vocalist Tiranké Sidibé, known as Tira‑Tira, announced a concert in Conakry on 26 December 2026 to launch her new 19‑track album *N’TÉLÉ*. The show will combine live music, dance, fashion and surprise guests, featuring collaborations with Malian singers Sambaly Diabaté and Soumaïla Kanouté and arrangements by Cherif Soumano in France. Sidibé urged fans to attend, saying, “Venez par amour… venez parce que c’est la Guinée,” emphasizing her long‑standing connection with the Guinean audience.
