Guitarist TAKURO's 'Blue Age' melody to play on Toyama railway trains
GLAY guitarist TAKURO purchased the right to have his composition "Blue Age" broadcast inside trains arriving at Etchū Funabashi Station on the Toyama Chihō Tetsudō line. The 20‑second piano‑based melody, taken from his March healing album, will be played from 1 September to 31 December 2024 each time a train stops at the station. The service, launched in January 2024, lets buyers pay ¥250,000 to feature their music on the railway’s interior‑melody system; TAKURO is the second purchaser. He said he feels honored to contribute to the station’s atmosphere and hopes listeners experience a sense of calm. The railway praised the gentle tune as a good match for the scenic village of Funabashi, known as Japan’s smallest village.
