Gujarat accelerates investment outreach and Dholera infrastructure projects
The Gujarat government is launching an extensive investment outreach campaign across 22 nations and eight Indian cities to prepare for the 11th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, scheduled for January 2027. Coordinated by the Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb), the initiative aims to attract technology partners and businesses in sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, green energy, and space technologies.
In the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), infrastructure development is accelerating. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recently reviewed several key projects, including the Tata Electronics semiconductor fabrication facility. The Dholera International Airport is expected to become operational by the end of this year, following a successful calibration flight.
To enhance regional connectivity, a Rs 20,667 crore semi-high-speed railway line connecting Ahmedabad with the Dholera industrial hub has been approved. Other developments include the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway and a 23-km Bhimnath-Dholera Logistics Hub railway line, all designed to support the region's growth as a center for advanced manufacturing.
