Gujarat and three Indian states approve Narmada project agreement

Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan have approved a memorandum of agreement (MoU) to resolve long-standing issues regarding the Narmada river project. The agreement was finalized during the 15th meeting of the Review Committee of the Narmada Control Authority (RCNCA) in New Delhi, chaired by Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Paatil.

The Narmada river serves as a vital water source for all four states, supporting agriculture, regional development, and public welfare. The approved MoU aims to enhance inter-state coordination and provide a framework for addressing outstanding water resource challenges through collaborative dialogue and mutual understanding.
