Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma marks Independence Day

Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma addressed a flag-hoisting ceremony at the state BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar on the occasion of India's 80th Independence Day. During his speech, Vishwakarma emphasized that freedom should not be viewed merely as the enjoyment of rights, but as the responsible exercise of those rights alongside the disciplined fulfillment of duties toward the nation and society.

He noted that the Constitution mandates citizens to contribute to the unity, integrity, and progress of the country. Vishwakarma paid tribute to freedom fighters and revolutionaries, specifically highlighting the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shyamji Krishna Varma, and Sardar Singh Rana to the independence movement.

Reflecting on India's current progress in sectors such as science, technology, defense, and digital systems, he expressed the collective aspiration of achieving the 'Viksit Bharat' goal. This vision aims to make India a developed, self-reliant, and prosperous nation by the centenary of its independence.
