Gujarat Chief Minister seeks US tech partnerships in AI and semiconductors

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is conducting a visit to the United States to secure global partnerships in high-tech sectors, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, data centers, and skill development. The delegation's outreach is part of preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2027.

During the visit, Patel held discussions with major technology firms such as Google, Perplexity AI, and Micron. At Micron, Chairman Sanjay Mehrotra acknowledged the Gujarat government's rapid approval of 20 acres of land for the company's Sanand facility. The discussions highlighted the emergence of Sanand and Dholera as significant semiconductor hubs.

Additionally, India's Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, hosted Patel and members of the Gujarati diaspora at India House to discuss strengthening manufacturing ties and technological collaborations.
