Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel begins US and Canada tour for 2027 summit
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has commenced a week-long official visit to the United States and Canada, running from August 17 to August 24, to promote investment for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027.
Patel, leading a high-level delegation of senior government officials and industry representatives from 22 companies, arrived in San Francisco to meet with the Gujarati diaspora and technology leaders. The mission aims to showcase Gujarat’s development and invite global investors to the summit scheduled for January 2027. Key sectors targeted for investment include semiconductors, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and data centers.
The delegation’s itinerary includes roundtable conferences and one-on-one meetings in San Francisco, Washington D.C., and New York, before proceeding to Toronto, Canada. This visit marks the first official trip to the U.S. by a sitting Gujarat Chief Minister in 25 years.
