Gujarat Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi visits Scotland for Commonwealth Games

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi travelled to Glasgow during the Commonwealth Games 2026. He joined local residents and members of the Indian community for a yoga session, praising yoga as an Indian gift and highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promotion of the practice worldwide.

Sanghavi also met Scotland’s Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Tourism and Transport, Stephen Flynn, on the sidelines of the India‑Scotland Business Forum. The two discussed expanding cooperation in renewable energy, life sciences, fintech and education, and explored trade opportunities under the India‑UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.

During the visit he inaugurated the Amdavad Experience Centre – Glasgow 2026, which showcases the heritage and sporting vision of the upcoming Amdavad 2030 Commonwealth Games, and also visited Scotstoun Stadium to encourage Indian athletes competing in the Games.
