Gujarat expands ESIC super-speciality hospital network

The Gujarat Labour and Employment Department and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with six healthcare institutions to expand the super-speciality medical network for insured workers.

These agreements aim to provide workers and their dependent family members with access to tertiary and super-speciality treatment for serious illnesses and emergencies. Under the scheme, expenditures will be covered subject to ESIC rules and eligibility, without a prescribed financial ceiling.

The participating institutions include Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre in Dharampur, Shrimad Rajchandra Sarvamangal Hospital and C. U. Shah Medical College in Surendranagar, Shri Giriraj Hospital in Rajkot, Gokul Lifecare Private Limited in Rajkot, N. M. Virani Wockhardt Hospital Limited, and Dr Bhatt Pathology Laboratory in Rajkot.
