Gujarat expands sports tourism with major upcoming marathons and HYROX

Gujarat is expanding its sports tourism profile through several major upcoming events. The 10th edition of the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon is scheduled for November 29, continuing its ‘#Run4OurSoldiers’ initiative to honor India's Armed Forces. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi noted that the marathon holds added significance as Ahmedabad prepares for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

Additionally, the global sports event HYROX will take place in Gandhinagar from November 26 to 28. The event is expected to draw over 10,000 participants, including approximately 1,000 international athletes. This initiative is part of the state's designation of 2026-27 as ‘Gujarat Tourism Year’. Further promoting the region as a sports destination, an Ironman or Half-Ironman event is also planned for Ahmedabad on February 14.
