Gujarat government loan enables student to study and work in Canada

The Gujarat government’s Overseas Study Loan Scheme provided a Rs 15 lakh education loan at 4 % interest to Ratranshu Panchal, a student from a socially and educationally backward family in Rajpipla, Narmada district. After his father’s death, his mother Prital Panchal secured the loan through the district social‑welfare office, allowing him to pursue a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Windsor, Canada. Panchal completed the program with excellent results and is now employed as a mechanical engineer in the Canadian corporate sector. He thanked the Gujarat Government and the Social Justice and Empowerment Department for the financial assistance that removed a major barrier to his overseas education.
