Gujarat Governor and CM Patel Launch Rs 25 crore Marketing Support Scheme for Rural Women
Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met informally at Swarnim Sankul‑1 in Gandhinagar and discussed public‑welfare issues. In the same session the state announced a new "Marketing Support Scheme" for rural women organized in Sakhi Mandals.
The scheme allocates Rs 25 crore for the 2026‑27 fiscal year to help these self‑help groups sell products on e‑commerce platforms, both nationally and internationally. Financial assistance covers up to Rs 15,000 for GST registration, Rs 10,000 for an FSSAI licence, and Rs 2,000 for PAN‑card registration. An online‑sales incentive of Rs 20 per order and lifetime support of up to Rs 5 lakh per Sakhi Mandal are also provided. The programme, overseen by Chief Minister Patel with Rural Development Minister Kunvarji Bavaliya and Minister of State Sanjaysinh Mahida, aims to enable women to earn from home and become "Lakhpati Didis" while strengthening the rural economy.
