Gujarat police arrest Flipkart delivery agent for theft
The Bhavnagar Local Crime Branch (LCB) in Gujarat has arrested 26-year-old Rutvik Makwana, a Flipkart delivery agent, for allegedly stealing customer parcels worth approximately Rs 4.6 lakh.
Police apprehended Makwana on October 23 near Gangajaliya Lake on Motibaug Road in Bhavnagar after receiving reports of an individual selling mobile phones and other goods without invoices. Upon inspection, the suspect could not provide ownership documentation, leading to his arrest and the seizure of the items.
The stolen goods include 13 mobile phones—including models such as Google Pixel 10, Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, and various Vivo devices—along with smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, perfumes, clothing, and other electronic accessories. During interrogation, Makwana allegedly confessed to misappropriating the parcels while working as a delivery agent in Surat roughly 15 days prior to his arrest.
