Gujarat Police dismantle inter-state bomb threat email network

The Gujarat Police Cyber Centre of Excellence has dismantled an inter-state bomb threat email network that maintained cross-border links to Bangladesh. The coordinated crackdown involved operations across three Indian states.

According to Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, the investigation led to the arrest of key individuals in Bihar and Jharkhand who were allegedly responsible for disseminating hoax threat emails. Cyber investigators recovered a database containing more than 5.13 lakh email credentials.

The probe also uncovered sophisticated financial and cryptocurrency transaction trails that establish connections to Bangladesh. Sanghavi emphasized the state’s zero-tolerance policy regarding digital offenses and cybercrime.
