Gujarat Police seize Rs 1.86 crore liquor cache in Mahisagar, seven arrested

The Gujarat Police State Monitoring Cell seized Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth about Rs 1.86 crore from a warehouse in Mahisagar district's GIDC area in Balasinor. The raid, led by Sub‑Inspector J. S. Rajput under directions from DGP G. S. Malik, recovered 41,600 bottles and beer tins, three vehicles, eight mobile phones, cash of Rs 17,730 and other items used to conceal the stock.

Seven individuals were arrested, two juveniles were booked, and 16 more were named as wanted. The accused include persons from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and local districts, with Manish Mehra identified as the main alleged procurer. A case has been filed under the Gujarat Prohibition Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the investigation continues to trace the broader smuggling network.
