Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu's ancestral home in Farwahi village, Barnala district, was targeted in a shooting late at night. Three masked individuals on a motorcycle arrived at the residence and fired between six and eight rounds at the house gate.

Sidhu, a close associate of the late singer Sidhu Moose Wala, was abroad for musical performances during the attack. While his family members were present at the home, no injuries were reported. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing one individual loading a pistol while another recorded the event on a mobile phone.

A purported audio message from gangster Donny Ball claiming responsibility for the shooting is currently being verified by authorities. This incident follows a previous attempt in January 2026, where police arrested three people, including a village sarpanch, for plotting an attack on the singer. Due to ongoing threats, Punjab Police had already assigned two security personnel to Sidhu.
